WOODEN TOYS

Why choose wooden toys? 
Wooden toys are naturally beautiful, durable, practical and environmentally responsible! Children love the smooth textures, the smells, and the satisfying weight of our wooden toys. Even tasting is allowed! Wooden toys have much lower level of spreading bacteria than the plastic toys do. High quality wooden toys are durable enough to withstand years of use and may be passed down to your children's children. If a wooden toy breaks, it can generally be repaired, unlike most plastics. And in the end, if a wooden toy is no longer useful or is broken beyond repair (if it's chewed up by the family dog, for example), Mother Nature can work her magic and take it back!

 
Where your toys are made and how safe are they?
The wooden toys that we sell are made in Lithuania. Lithuania is a small European country, EU member, located near Baltic Sea. Our toys are made according to EU safety standards and all of them are EU certified.

All toys are tested to be free of dangerous substances, so that they are safe even if the child should chew on and ingest part of the toy or finish. Toys are tested for sharp points, breakability, and of course small parts/choking hazard.

For production our manufacturers are using only the highest quality wood – birch - from Lithuanian sustained forests supporting forestry that follows regulations and uses the certification of FSC (Forest Stewardship Council).

FSC facilitates the development of standards, ensures monitoring of certified operations and protects the FSC trademark so consumers can choose products that come from well managed forests. One of many FSC supporting forestry regulations is avoiding cutting down trees without planting.

Why birch? Birch is natural wood which is the most suitable for children’s wooden toys production, as it is hard, doesn’t have resin and it is naturally white! So our toys are NOT bleached or treated with any other synthetic chemicals. And just like other wooden toys it has much lower level of spreading bacteria than the plastic toys do.

Both our manufacturers for colouring are using safe, non-toxic, water based and organic dyes only: a water-borne acrylic paint and “Old Fashioned Milk Paint” – so it is completely safe for your child and the environment.

 
What if the item I want is sold out?
We try very hard to insure that all items available for purchase through the website are in stock and ready to deliver. That means that you won't be able to put it in your cart unless we have it in our stock. But mistakes can happen, and in the rare instance that a purchased item is out of stock, the customer will be contacted within 24 hours and given the opportunity to cancel the order and receive a refund, or to back-order the item and have it shipped to them once it is back in stock. We do not otherwise take back-orders of sold out items.

ORDERS

I made a mistake, can I change or cancel my order? 
If you've accidentally placed an order or made a mistake while ordering, please give us a call at or e-mail at info@harmonyhousetoys.com and we will try to assist you.
 
Can I cancel the order after I’ve paid? 
Yes, and order may be canceled if it hasn’t been dispatched yet. Please give us a call on +971 55 191 3809(10am-5pm/Sun-Thurs) or e-mail at info@harmonyhousetoys.com as soon as possible so that we can stop your order before it proceeds any further. Please note that most orders are shipped within 1-2 days.

Do you accept telephone orders? 
Unfortunately we don't accept orders over the telephone at this time.

Do you gift wrap?
Sorry, we are not currently able to offer gift wrapping service. However, we do recognize the fact that many orders are shipped directly to gift recipients. Therefore, we never show prices or totals on the forms that are sent with the order*. The buyer's name and billing address appear on the packing slip, so the recipient can see who it is from. You also have the option of adding a gift message during checkout, and your words will be added to the packing slip in big, colorful type.

PAYMENTS

Which payment methods do you accept?
You can pay for your order online via secure shopping cart/checkout system Skrill (Moneybookers) or pay with Cash On Delivery.
Via Skrill (Moneybookers) is accepted:

Cash On Delivery (COD) means that you will place your order online and once the chosen items are shipped to you via Speedex courier service, you will then make the payment in cash.

Unfortunately we do not accept cheques at this time.

Do you accept payment on delivery? 
Yes, we do accept. Just choose "Cash on Delivery" as your payment option when you're checking out.

DELIVERIES

Where does Harmony House currently deliver to?
We use a professional courier service – SpeedEx and deliver across the UAE. This includes Dubai, Abu Dhabi, Al Ain, Sharjah, Ajman, Um Al Quwain, Ras Al Khaimah and Fujairah. City limits apply, which means that unfortunately we can't get out to your oil rig, dates plantation, military base or any other top secret locations.

We're also unable to deliver to areas that are under customs regulations including Jebel Ali Free Zone, Dubai Airport Free Zone, SAIF Zone and so on.

What do I do if I've placed an order and need to change my delivery details? 
Please give us a call +971 55 191 3809(10am-5pm/Sun-Thurs) or e-mail at info@harmonyhousetoys.com right away and we'll see what we can do. 
 
Can I pick up my items myself? 
Currently this is not possible.

Do you charge for delivery? 
We use a professional courier service – SpeedEx. As an e-commerce shop we have special rates. Delivery charges are based on the weight of the order: from 0 up to 5 kg the delivery cost is 14 DHS and for each additional kg will be added 2 DHS. Total delivery and your order costs will automatically be calculated before you check out or send the order.

If you order items for 300 DHS and more the delivery is free.

Is delivery free if I buy for a certain amount?
Definitely, if you add at least 300 DHS worth of items to your shopping cart, delivery is automatically free!

What if something is damaged or defective when it arrives?
Please examine your order as soon as it arrives and contact us at info@harmonyhousetoys.com or through our returns form located over at help.harmonyhousetoys.com right away to report any broken, defective, missing items in your order, or wrong delivery.

We understand that many items are purchased as gifts, and may not be opened for some time. If damage or defect is discovered some time after purchase, please explain this in your email or return form, and include the date that the item was actually opened.

Once we have your details, our deliveries SpeedEx team will schedule to pick up the items that you wish to return. Please retain all packaging material in case an inspection is necessary. We will issue a refund to your credit card for the price of the item you return. It can take up to 30 business days to process the return and credit your account. We will notify you via e-mail once your return has been processed.

Faulty or damaged goods may be returned free of charge for a full refund, replacement or exchange. Delivery charges for faulty or damaged returns will be refunded.

Can I return items? 
If for any other reason you are not happy with your purchase, unopened and unused items may be returned within 14 days for a refund of the full purchase price or exchange. Conducting a return requires contacting us through our returns form located over at Returns Form.

IMPORTANT: Refusing delivery is not an acceptable method of returning an item. Refusing delivery incurs a substantial double shipping charge for which the buyer will be held responsible.

If the product returned is not in fully re-saleable condition, it is used, or the packaging is damaged, we reserve the right to refuse a refund on the item, or deduct up to 15% of the original selling price from the refund amount.
